3.2  National Science Week

Years: 2016; 2017; 2018; 2019

Purpose: The aim of this programme was to raise the profile of mathematics and science through the use of games, olympiads and other resources.  It was targeted at learners and educators.

Detail: This was done through the use of games, olympiads and other resources.  It is targeted at learners and educators. Some of the projects were Rainwater harvesting, Hydroponics and Alternate energy.

Impact:

• Over 100 schools participated with 3000 learners from Monday to Friday.
• The Mathematics Games Competition was played and over 1200 games were donated to schools to popularise Mathematics.
