FEMSSISA (Foundation for English; Mathematics; Sciences; Sports and Innovation of South Africa) is a registered Non-Profit Company and has been operating from 1998. The organization has made a significant impact in Mathematics; Sciences; English; Sports and Innovation.


Vishnu Naidoo

  • Has been deeply involved in Education for 38 years.
  • Teacher of Mathematics up to grade 12.
  • National Senior Certificate Mathematics examiner from 1999 to 2002.
  •  Provincial Moderator of Grade 11 mathematics papers from 2003 to 2006.
  • President of AMESA-KZN for 14 years and Vice President of National AMESA for 2 years.
  • Founding member and former Chairperson of South African Mathematics
  • Foundation (SAMF).
  •  Convener of the South African Junior Mathematics Olympiad Committee from 2003 to 2010.
  • Team Leader of the South African teams that participated in The World Primary Mathematics Competition in Hong Kong in 1999.
  •  Author of Mathematics Books from Grades 6 -12 and Problem-Solving Mathematics Books from Grades 1 to 7.
  • Author of National Benchmark Test Books in Mathematics and Quantitative Literacy.

    • Has been deeply involved in Education for 35 years.
    • Teacher of Mathematics up to grade 12.
    • Education: JSED (awarded with distinction in mathematics) (SCE); FDE (Professional teaching Diploma awarded with distinction including mathematics and Didactics of mathematics) (SCE); Advanced Training Maths Project (SAASTA); Data Handling (UKZN); Statistics (SASA) and Problem Solving (SAMO).
    • Teacher development workshop for teachers in Northern Cape (Kimberly) and presenter of mathematics mini conference in Durban (UKZN – Howard Campus).
    • Author of maths textbook namely Grade 11 Supplementary Tuition (National FET) and recently the book has been updated to include video teaching of the mathematics CAPS curriculum.
    • Examiner and moderator of FET mathematics for Northern Regions Maths Society
    • 2 decades of NSC (grade 12) marking experience including senior marker.
